Celebrating Progress: Lurie Cancer Center’s 2024 Year in Review & HCRF’s Impact

In 2024, the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University made significant strides in cancer research, patient care, and community outreach. As a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Lurie Cancer Center's physicians and scientists translated discoveries into new possibilities, offering the latest treatments through clinical trials, sharing vital education and services within the community, and providing state-of-the-art cancer services and ongoing support to patients and families across Northwestern Medicine. 

The Hippocratic Cancer Research Foundation is proud to support the incredible doctors and researchers at the Lurie Cancer Center. HCRF's mission is to eliminate cancer and save lives by funding interdisciplinary research teams at the Lurie Cancer Center, empowering world-class investigators to address the most urgent questions in cancer biology and oncology in innovative ways. By investing in "think outside the box" research, with an emphasis on translational cancer research, HCRF accelerates and heightens the impact of scientific discoveries. 

In 2024, HCRF celebrated a decade of dedication and support of groundbreaking research at the Lurie Cancer Center during the 10th Anniversary Wings to Cure Gala. This event highlighted the on going commitment to pushing the boundaries of cancer research and treatment. 

The partnership between HCRF and the Lurie Cancer Center exemplifies a shared dedication to advancing cancer research and improving patient outcomes. Together, they continue to make impactful strides toward a future without cancer.
